Science 🔬
In Science this half term, we have been learning all about forces. This week we learnt that, although we can’t see it, the wind is a force. It pushes things through the air, such as kites. We then made our own kites to fly and they were all so unique and fantastic!
Nativity scenes🌟
In RE we have been learning all about the Christmas story. We worked in teams to create our own stables and added in people and animals from the story. The end results were fantastic! Well done Innovators!
Gold Award🌟
Haania & Sulieman won our Gold Award on Friday (4th). They are both working so hard with their learning! Well done 👏🏼
Geography: map designing🌍
We practiced using a key on a map by drawing a map for Goldilocks to get to the Three Bears Cottage. 🐻🏡 We made sure that anything we drew on our maps, we put in the key too! Hopefully these help Goldilocks to reach the delicious porridge!🥣
Wreath Making
In RE we have been learning about advent. We made our own wreaths with plenty of paint and glue! It was so much fun watching these come together and they look beautiful!
Challenge.
Today I gave the Innovators a challenge to throw and catch the ball in different ways. We started today’s lesson by doing a warm up. Bent Knees throwing the ball up in the air and catching it. Throwing and Catching with one hand. Have a great week Innovators. Mr. Riley
Forest School🌲
We loved this afternoon in the forest with Shayne. We went on a story hunt for Goldilocks and then we created masks made from mud, grass and charcoal. After that we enjoyed some hot chocolate and popcorn in the tent around the fire!☕️
Messy Maps – Geography🌍
In Geography this week we used objects in the classroom to create a ‘messy map’ of our classroom from an aerial view. I wonder if you can create a messy map of something else? Like a room in your house!
Maths learning 📚
This week we have been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. We’ve been practicing how to count the edges, vertices and faces. Innovators, can you name all of the 2D and 3D shapes that we have been learning about this week?
