Well done to this week’s Gold Award winners, Faysa & Zubair!☺️🌟

We hope that you enjoy our learning journey!
Well done to this week’s Gold Award winners, Faysa & Zubair!☺️🌟

Our topic for science this half term is Forces.
We explored how we can push and pull our bodies to help us move ourselves and objects.

We learnt that we can pull our bodies with our arms to help us move up the bench, we can use our legs to push off of a piece of apparatus or over some obstacles. In addition, we noticed how we used forces to throw a ball because we pushed it up out of our hands and pulled it back in for a secure catch.
We have been learning all about physical and human features of the area around us this week.
The children carefully cut out picture and sorted them to show which were physical features and which were human features.

Zak, Mooney & Ismaeel have worked so hard with Mrs White to create these beautiful Autumnal pieces of artwork of a hedgehog and a squirrel.🐿🦔
Maybe you could try with your grown ups at home to create a piece of artwork using the natural world around us!

In History we looked at Pieter Brugel’s artwork “Children’s Games” which highlights what life and games were like in the past.

We then worked together to create our own modern day version.

Thank you Innovators for a great first day.
Today in PE the Innovators practised Throwing and Catching using a big and small ball.

Another fantastic PE lesson Innovators.

Can you tell your loved ones what you have learnt today in PE?

We have been working so hard within our daily handwriting sessions. We are getting better every day!✏️

Well done Innovators you are trying so hard in your PE lessons.

We have been looking at the artist Pablo Picasso. We used oil pastels to create our own portraits in the same style as his!! Aren’t they fab!😁
